KMEWO – Kurdish and Middle Eastern Women Organisation is a specialist BME Women’s Organisation founded in 1999. It aims to improve the quality of lives of Black, Asian, and Ethnic Minority and Refugee BAMER women, with a particular focus on women from the Kurdish, Middle Eastern and North African communities in the UK. KMEWO provides a range of support services and activities to BAMER women including: General Information and Advice , Domestic Violence and Harmful Practices specialist Advocacy support, Counselling in different languages, ESOL, IT, Confidence Building courses and other educational activities, Volunteering and Employment support, Training and awareness rising on Harmful practices including FGM and FM and Campaigning and Lobbying for women’s Rights.

We are expanding our services and are looking for enthusiastic and passionate women to join our team to fill the following vacancies:

  • VAWG advice Worker – Part time
  • Community Engagement and Outreach worker – Part time
  • Sessional BACP accredited Councilor (Must speak Kurdish- Sorani)
